Peacemaker Preview Party and Fundraiser. Wednesday, October 18. 7pm-10pm.
The Peacemaker exhibition combines with pleasures of sound, touch, and art for an exclusive preview and fundraiser for my upcoming show. I held a kickstarter to raise the minimum funds needed to get the show off the ground. This is a second fundraiser/preview/party to support the show and get a look inside my studio, see my process, and support an emerging artist.
This is a preview party for my exhibition "Peacemaker" on display at The Carrack Modern Art November 30 - December 10. It will be hosted at my studio, also the Durty Durham operation headquarters, located at 305 E Chapel Hill St inside the Durham Arts Place. Music by provided by Treee City , No Parking, and DJ Pitstique, with gogo dancing by the sensational Cobra Bobo.
The whole space will be decorated by my good friends Sensual Pleasures. Expect weird, tactile, and ever-fabulous party vibes while you dance and explore my studio. Suggested Donation is $5-25 to hep raise funds for the exhibition at The Carrack. Folks can donate at the party via Square, Cash, or through my kickstarter page: (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1483981743/peacemaker)
$25 donations will be rewarded with a preorder of the exhibition catalog arriving December 2017. Large 11in x 14in art prints will be availabe for purchase at this event.
Kickstarter Peacemaker Fully Funded! New goals and looking ahead.
My kickstarter was just fully funded. In less than 24 hours. One of the originals for sale "The Red Room" got picked up by a backer. This launched the pledge amount to $2180. This campaign goal was set to provide the minimum amount of money to properly install my exhibition "Peacemaker" at the Carrack this November. I can now begin to varnish and frame these paintings while working on new work which I hope to include in the show. The mission of this kickstarter is now morphing due to the unexpected funding. Find out more at the kickstarter page.
This Kickstarter campaign will support my solo show Peacemaker at The Carrack in Durham. You can find the link here. You'll see a few updates on this site and social media (facebook and instagram) about the campaign. The quick and dirty: this Kickstarter is going to help fund a printed catalog of my solo show Peacemaker opening at The Carrack in Durham, NC, November 30.
